Colour Poem

Pink sees Yellow and walks away
Pink won’t be playing with Yellow today
Although they are very alike
They both wish the other would take a hike
Once upon a time they used to be friends
Until one day when the rules did bend
There was a new group that came into town
They all gave Yellow a frown
To them he was strange
They thought he should change
He was different from them in many ways
They figured that out in just a gaze
Pink however wasn’t as weird
Which is one of the things that Yellow feared
Yellow was always left out
He was sad beyond doubt
Pink stopped playing with him
Which made Yellow grim
They used to be best friends
But that time has come to an end
Now Yellow is sad
Although he should be mad
Someone stole his best friend
Without a helping hand to lend
He is all alone
With no one to phone
Pink and Yellow met in the park one day
But not to play
To say goodbye
Without saying why
And they never met again
Until one day
When Orange came to stay
A long time ago they all used to play
That was before Orange moved away
Well when Orange came back
He almost had a heart attack
He was so surprised with what he saw
He thought it should be against the law
Yellow had been abandoned by Pink
And it all happened in just a blink
Orange thought this should change
He thought this was very strange
Suddenly Orange had a plan
He could make a big clan
It would be Orange, Yellow, and Pink
He knew they would agree without a blink
But when he told his idea to Yellow and Pink
He was right they didn’t have to think
Because the answer was no
No way would they ever go
If the other was there
Breathing the same air
Orange tried to convince them and tried and tried
Until finally he gave up and lied
He said the other wasn’t going to be there
So they were both unaware
Until they went
Again the rules had bent
Orange talked to Yellow and Pink
Until finally they began to sink
As they realized how the other felt
They both slowly began to melt
Their colors and feelings merged
Finally they both emerged
As a different color altogether
